There are <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun AdvancedProofingIssueV2Themed SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\">a number of<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\"> materials that can resemble the viscoelastic<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\">behavior of human coronary artery tissue. In this work, an experimental assessment and<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\">benchmarking of a novel composite 3D printed material whose viscoelastic properties can<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\">be varied was done as well as a comparison with one of the most used materials in phantom<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\">development, <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\">cryogenized<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\"> polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). Furthermore, to <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\">observe<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\"> the results<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\">and behavior of the simulator materials and the accuracy of their mechanical properties<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\">in comparison to <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\">real cardiovascular<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\"> tissue, a sensitivity analysis was performed by varying<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\">different values for the critical parameters, and a quasi-linear viscosity theory was applied<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\">to compare the viscoelastic behavior with that of cardiovascular tissue<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW18100457 BCX0\" data-ccp-parastyle=\"only-so-big\">.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"link-btn-style btn-yellow\"><a href=\"https:\/\/escholarship.mcgill.ca\/concern\/theses\/0g354m66g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read the publication<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gil Yanez, C.
