Nikon Synergy partners with Colibrium Additive’s AP&C on research project

In a landmark collaboration, Nikon Synergy (part of Nikon) has officially entered into a Sponsored Research Agreement with Advanced Powders and Coatings Inc. (AP&C) and the University of Waterloo. This strategic alliance unites two significant forces in the additive manufacturing (AM) sector—Nikon Synergy, a leader in DED and scanning technology, and AP&C, part of Colibrium Additive, a GE Aerospace (GE)-owned leader in metal powder solutions. Despite being industry competitors, Nikon and GE are partnering towards innovation, particularly focusing on enhancing aerospace component repair through cutting-edge additive manufacturing methods.
