Livre blanc sur
la fabrication additive
au Québec
The CQFA was created in response to the Livre blanc sur la fabrication additive au Québec, or the whitepaper on additive manufacturing in Quebec, unveiled in March 2020. This project resulted from a mobilization process undertaken by PRIMA Québec and its partners, namely Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED), the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation du Québec (MEI), the Centre québécois de recherche et de développement de l’aluminium (CQRDA), MEDTEQ+ and P4BUS Systems. Some 30 industrialists and organizations involved in collaborative research, technology adoption and skills development played an active role within the steering committee. Other ecosystem stakeholders were also consulted through surveys.
The whitepaper created an initial profile of the ecosystem itself, along with its strengths and weaknesses, in an effort to identify various market opportunities and challenges. It also proposed strategic orientations and structuring measures that could increase Quebec’s economic competitiveness and help it become a global technological leader through AM.
