Productique Québec launches its additive manufacturing cell

On April 27th, Productique Québec launched its additive manufacturing cell.

It was an opportunity for the many participants to attend presentations on 3D printing and to discover the CCTT facilities.

Vincent Thomasset-Laperrière, director of research and partnerships, and Rym Gazzah, specialist – design and additive manufacturing, opened the event by presenting the orientations of the CCTT in additive manufacturing, the services offered, the materials and equipment available as well as recently completed projects. This was followed by a conference by Robert Chiari, Product Sales Manager at DMG MORI, on hybrid manufacturing.

Vincent Thomasset-Laperrière, Rym Gazzah and François Thiebaut, advanced manufacturing technician at Productique Québec, then gave a visit of their facilities. Generative design, demonstration of additive manufacturing processes (LPBF) and quality management / post-production (machining, CMM, 3D scanning) were in the spotlight.

During these presentations and this visit, Productique Québec emphasized the importance of complementary expertise (design, conception, preparation of the 3D printing platform, 3D printing, machining, metrology inspection, quality control) and collaboration for the success of an additive manufacturing project.

The CQFA would like to thank Productique Québec’s team for its warm welcome.
